Dalton, GA : One dead in single car accident near Rauschenberg Road on Tuesday afternoon, July 19, 2016

One person is dead after a single car accident this afternoon on Reed Road, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

Authorities are searching for the driver, who fled the scene on foot after he lost control of a black Cadillac and struck a tree. No names have been released.

The accident happened at about 2 p.m. near Rauschenberg Road. The driver was traveling north on Reed Road.
