A Fauquier County man died after his truck crashed Friday in Greene County, according to the Virginia State Police.
Police say Patrick L. Smasal, 25, was traveling north on U.S. 29 near Dairy Road when his 2008 GMC pickup truck ran off the road. The truck struck a tree on the passenger side before colliding with another tree head-on, police said.
Smasal died at the scene. According to police, he was not wearing a seat belt.
Police are still investigating the crash.
