Rhinebeck, NY : Man dies after hit by a car in an apparent hit-and-run crash on a Hudson Valley street on Monday, July 6, 2015

Authorities say a man is dead after he was hit by a car in an apparent hit-and-run crash on a Hudson Valley street.

It happened just before 4 p.m. Monday in Rhinebeck. The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office says authorities found a man lying in the street. Responders performed CPR on the man and transported him to North Dutchess Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities say the victim is a county resident, but haven't released his name.

Investigators say the vehicle involved drove off before authorities arrived.

No arrests have been made.
