Orlando, FL : 18-year-old girl killed in single-vehicle crash on Friday night, September, 4th 2015

An 18-year-old girl was killed in a single-vehicle crash near the University of Central Florida on Friday night. Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Helen Lewis-Verdu was making a u-turn on University Boulevard near Alafaya Trail when the tire tread separated on her Mustang.
Lewis-Verdu lost control of the vehicle, overturned and struck a pole, causing the car to land on its side, troopers said.
