BURTON, SC : Burton Fire District responds to 60th crash on Robert Smalls Pkwy in 2016 on Monday, 31st October 2016
The Burton Fire District responded to another crash at the intersection of Robert Smalls Parkway and W.K. Alston Drive, just after 8:30 p.m. Monday.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a two-vehicle accident involving a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle.
Three people, including an infant, were transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. Officials say the infant was properly restrained in a car seat and it is believed all occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The Burton Fire District has now responded to a total of 60 motor vehicle accidents on Robert Smalls Parkway this year.
