Casco, ME : 4-year-old boy killed in crash on Tuesday morning August 11th 2015
Michael Minson, the driver in a crash that killed a 4-year-old boy Tuesday, was driving without a license, authorities said.Minson’s driving privileges had been suspended by the state because he was caught driving without a license in the past, according to Capt. Donald Goulet of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
Minson, 28, of Gray, was driving the car and lost control and slammed into a utility pole on Route 11 in Casco on Tuesday morning.
Cameron Peterson was pronounced dead at the scene. His mother, Crystal Peterson, 27, and Minson, both suffered serious injuries.
Investigators said speed was a factor in the crash and Minson had just passed another vehicle prior to the accident.
Minson was listed in satisfactory condition Tuesday afternoon at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
