Lake City, FL: Three Injued in Two Car Crash in Columbia County on Friday afternoon,24th October,2014
two of whom are teenagers — were seriously injured Friday afternoon in Columbia County when one vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with another, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said that Janis Mitchell, 58, of Lake City was driving alone in a 2014 Nissan Rogue, heading west on Columbia County Road 18 at about 12:20 p.m. Friday when she ran a stop sign at the intersection of U.S. 441, located north of O'Leno State Park. Mitchell's Rogue struck the right side of a 2005 Chevy Monte Carlo being driven northbound on U.S. 441 by Catherine Danielle Lamon, 19.
Mitchell's vehicle overturned onto its left side; Lamon's Monte Carlo rotated, ejecting the passenger in the car, Kendrea English, 18.
Mitchell was transported to North Florida Regional Medical Center in serious condition. Lamon and English both were taken to UF Health Shands Hospital, also in serious condition
