DARIEN, NY : Construction worker, 40, killed in road work accident on Friday, 26th August, 2016

A construction worker driving a pavement roller onto a flatbed truck early Friday morning was killed when he lost control and the rig fell off the truck, according to State Police in Batavia.

Aaron Wellman, 40, was rushed to a local hospital after the 5:30 a.m. accident, but was pronounced dead on arrival, according to state police.

Wellman’s hometown was not released by law enforcement agencies.

State police and the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident, according to State Police officials.
