West Palm Beach, FL : 3 dead after car crashes into lake in Broward, report says on Monday, December 26th 2016
Police are investigating a deadly crash that killed three people when a car plunged into a lake near Fort Lauderdale, according to a report from Local 10 News.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened around 5 a.m. Monday when a car carrying four people slid off the roadway and crashed into a canal.
One man was able to swim out of the car, the sheriff’s office said. Officials found two other passengers and still searching for the third.
Local 10 News reports that the surviving victim is 20-year-old Keiontae Meyers, whose family members said he was allegedly driving the car when he crashed through a fence and into a lake.
Meyers was taken to the hospital, and his girlfriend told Local 10 News he will be charged in the crash.
The sheriff’s office has not yet identified any victims of the crash or confirmed if the driver will face charges.
