BATON ROUGE, LA : Deputy injured after crash near Mall of Louisiana on Saturday, 23rd September 2023

An East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office deputy was injured in a crash on I-10 Saturday afternoon.

According to a Baton Rouge Traffic post on social media, the two left lanes were blocked on I-10 East at the Mall of Louisiana due to an accident around 1 p.m. Saturday. Congestion reached Essen Lane before both lanes opened around 2 p.m.

The City of Baton Rouge traffic page said the accident was an EBRSO unit crash. The sheriff’s office said the officer was injured but would be okay.
