San Luis Obispo, CA : Abou in jail for DUI and two passengers injured after collision on Loomis in San Luis Obispo on Sunday morning, April 19, 2015

A San Luis Obispo man is in jail after police say he had been drinking under the influence in an early-morning traffic collision.

Police responded to the 2100 block of Loomis Street in San Luis Obispo shortly after 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Investigators say Abou was driving a 2004 Jeep Wrangler eastbound on Loomis when he lost control of the vehicle, which then overturned and struck a parked and unoccupied 1997 Lexus Sedan.

Two of the passengers in the Jeep had minor injuries and were sent by a private party to a hospital for treatment.

Police determined Abou had been driving while under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision and arrested him for felony DUI.

Abou was booked into SLO County jail and his bail is set at $100,000.
