LINCOLN, NE : Driver dies after pickup crashes into southeast Lincoln home on Tuesday, 14th May 2024

Lincoln Police said a 30-year-old man is dead after he rear-ended a car and rolled his truck into a home.

Lincoln Police said a Chevy Cruze and Ford F-150 were both headed north on 56th Street when they collided near Cooper Avenue, west of Holmes Lake, shortly after 2 p.m.

Lincoln Police said the collision sent the truck rolling into a nearby garage, and the driver was ejected. Police said the pickup driver was taken to the hospital, where he later died. The driver of the Chevy Cruze wasn’t hurt.

It’s unclear if anyone was inside the home at the time. But police have contacted them, and they weren’t injured.
