Raleigh, NC : Driver faces charges after man killed in I-440 accident after five Saturday evening near Jones Franklin Road, Raleigh
Raleigh police say a 21-year-old is facing DWI and felony death by motor vehicle charges in connection with a crash that killed a Garner man.
It happened just after five Saturday evening near Jones Franklin Road.
Police say Jacob Press was driving when he crossed the median and hit another car going the opposite direction.
In that car was 67-year-old Rex Todd. Police say Todd was killed but his wife, 66-year-old Mary Todd, was taken to Wake Med and is now listed in fair condition.
Press was also taken to the hospital. He faces charges of DWI, felony death by motor vehicle, and felony serious injury by motor vehicle.
Those close to the Todds describe them as very giving and active members of the community. Mary Todd was once the City Manager of Garner.
