Fort Lauderdale, FL : Car driver flees crash that flipped truck on I-95 in Fort Lauderdale on Friday, April 15, 2016

A pre-dawn crash on Interstate 95 sent a truck driver to the hospital and a Honda driver to jail after he and a passenger ran from the scene of the crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Ender Gutierrez, 23, of Pompano Beach, was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of the crash and driving with an expired license, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The flatbed Waste Pro truck and the Honda collided on northbound I-95 north of the Broward Boulevard exit just before 5 a.m., Sgt. Mark Wysocky said.

"The two vehicles got pinned together causing the driver of the truck to lose control and overturn into the median," he said.
