CORFU, NY : Distraction blamed for head-on crash on Monday, 3rd June 2019

Driver distraction is being blamed for a head-on crash on Route 5 that injured both drivers Monday morning, Genesee County sheriff’s deputies said.
William T. Gibbs, 63, of Corfu told deputies that he was “distracted by moving his phone” when he crossed into the westbound lanes in front of Pudgie’s.
His 2011 Ford Focus slammed into a Chevrolet SUV driven by Patricia Bunk, 35, of Elba.
Bunk suffered a neck injury and was taken by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and later released.
