Mequon, WI : 85-year-old woman killed after she was struck by a vehicle and struck five vehicles in the parking lot on Monday afternoon ,March 16th 2015

An 85-year-old woman was killed Monday afternoon when she was struck by a vehicle driven by an 87-year-old man that had just struck five vehicles in the parking lot of a Sendik's grocery store in Mequon, police said.

The woman was struck shortly after 3:30 p.m. at the Sendik's store at 10920 N. Port Washington Road, according to a news release from the Mequon Police Department.

The vehicle driven by the Milwaukee man was in reverse when it struck the parked vehicles. The vehicle then accelerated forward and struck the woman, also from Milwaukee, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.
