A Stockbridge couple were killed Sunday afternoon when an SUV ran through a stop sign and struck their vehicle on Route 20, according to Lenox police.
James L. Kelly, 60, and his wife, Patricia Kelly, 69, of Mohawk Lake Road in the Glendale section of Stockbridge, were heading west on Lee Road (Route 20) toward Lenox about 2:20 p.m. when they were struck by a 2003 Honda CRV driven by Chelsea M. Lundeberg, 23, of Ellington, Conn.

James Kelly was treated by emergency medical technicians at the scene and was transported to Berkshire Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, according to the police report. Patricia Kelly was pronounced dead at the scene by the Medical Examiner's Office.
Lundeberg and her passenger, Alexander Rodriguez, 23, of West Hartford, Conn., were transported to Berkshire Medical Center, where they were treated for minor injuries and released, police said.
Lee and state police units, Lenox and County ambulance, and the Lenox Fire Department assisted at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation by the Berkshire District Attorney's Office.
James Kelly, former owner of an automotive shop in Lee who worked more recently in maintenance at Cranwell Spa & Golf Resort, was from a large family in that town with seven siblings. His wife, formerly Patricia Gennari, was a West Stockbridge native.
