Woman killed, man detained after rollover crash near Newport

A woman was killed and a man detained when their vehicle rolled over into a body of water Friday morning.

According to Washington State Patrol, the vehicle was traveling along State Route 211 just before 3 a.m., when it rolled over and sunk into about four feet of water.

They say the crash happened about 12 miles north of Newport near Davis Lake.

Washington State Patrol does believe alcohol was involved.
