Mamou , LA : 55 -Years old Woman killed in pedestrian-pickup accident along Louisiana Highway 13 in Evangeline Parish on Friday ,March 27th 2015

State police say a 55-year-old Reddell woman died in a pedestrian-pickup accident on Louisiana Highway 13 in Evangeline Parish.

Master Trooper Brook David says 55-year-old Terry Trumps was struck and killed as she walked along the highway north of Mamou.

David said the accident at about 6 a.m. Friday while it was still dark. He says Trumps was wearing dark clothing.

The driver of the truck, 53-year-old joseph Deshotel (DEZ'-uh-tell) of Mamou, was not injured.
