Wilmington ,VT :58-year-old Valerie George killed and driver injured after Motorcycle Crash on Monday ,September 7th 2015

Police say a driver didn't see a motorcycle coming and turned in front of the bike, causing a collision that killed a passenger on the motorcycle.

The Brattleboro Reformer reports the crash occurred Monday night when John Potvin of Stamford tried to make a left turn off Route 9 in Wilmington. Police say he collided with a motorcycle operated by 60-year-old Brooks Mitchell of South Newfane. His passenger, 58-year-old Valerie George of Brattleboro, died at a hospital.

Mitchell was flown to Albany Medical Center Hospital. His condition could not immediately be learned.

Police say Potvin told them he didn't see the motorcycle.
