Torrance , CA : 28- Years pold passenger killed after motorist slammed into utility Pole on Thursday , December 11th 2014

A motorist slammed into a utility pole in Torrance early today, killing her 28-year-old passenger from Redondo Beach, police said. The crash possibly was alcohol-related, but was under investigation, Torrance police Lt. Jennifer Uyeda said. Firefighters and police responded about 2:45 a.m. to the 2000 block of Torrance Boulevard when the 1998 Toyota sedan hit the Southern California Edison pole. No other cars were involved. The driver, a 25-year-old Lancaster woman, and her male passenger were taken to a local hospital, where the man died.
