One person died last night in a head-on collision in Fairfield

One person died last night in a head-on collision in Fairfield.

The accident happened on Rt. 139 around 11:00.

According to police, a vehicle crossed the center line and smashed into an oncoming pickup truck.

The driver of the truck, Richard Savage of Madison, was treated and released from a hospital.

The other driver died at the scene - there identity has not yet been released.
