KANSAS CITY, MO : 4 injured after bus causes 4-vehicle collision on I-29 south of KCI on Thursday, 29th August 2024

One woman was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries as three others sustained minor injuries after a bus caused a 4-vehicle collision on I-29 south of KCI.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that around 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, emergency crews were called to the area of northbound I-29 and Tiffany Springs Pkwy., south of the Kansas City International Airport, with reports of a 4-vehicle collision.

When first responders arrived, they said they found Carlton C. Lyle, 70, of Platte City, the driver of an International bus, had rear-ended both a 2018 Nissan Versa, driven by Roxana M. Perez Lara, 26, of St. Joseph, and a Volkswagen Tiguan driven by Kelli K. McGlothlin, 42, of St. Joseph.

State Troopers noted that the impact caused McGlothlin’s Tiguan to hit the back of a Toyota Rav 4 driven by Dustin D. Guest, 39, of Kansas City, Mo.
