Washington County, WI : Two Oshkosh sisters killed in crash with semi on north of County Highway K in Hartford on Thursday, March 24, 2016

An Oshkosh woman, 24, and her 15-year-old sister were killed in a crash on I-41 southbound Thursday.

Washington County Sheriff deputies responded to the crash around 11:15 a.m.

The two women had been riding in a van north down I-41, north of County Highway K in Hartford when they collided head-on with a semi-tractor. Their van had crossed the median.

The semi-tractor and van came to a stop in a ditch along the highway.

The sisters were found dead at the scene.

Officials think the van was going to fast for the conditions, which were snowy and slippery throughout Washington County.

The 61-year-old driver of the semi-tractor was not injured.
