Blair, NE : One person transported in crash on Tuesday, August 1, 2017
One person was transported to Memorial Community Hospital and Health System following a two-vehicle accident at approximately 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of 19th and Wright streets in Blair.
Both vehicles contained only the driver.
A white Rise Broadband vehicle was stopped at a stop light when a silver Buick LaCrosse rear ended it at a relatively high rate of speed. The driver of the Buick was transported for facial injuries.
"The van was stopped on the other side of the stop line for a red light, and he saw the second vehicle coming," Blair Police Lt. Aaron Barrow said. "It didn't look like she was going to be able to stop so he started to creep forward and she smacked him."
Both Blair police and Blair Fire and Rescue responded. The driver of van declined medical treatment.
The Enterprise will update this story.
