Decatur, IL : No injuries in single-vehicle crash at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive on Tuesday evening, March 21, 2017

No one was injured when a car struck a pole Tuesday evening at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Brettwood Circle.

Capt. Tim May of the Decatur Fire Department said the vehicle "grazed" the pole and Ameren Illinois determined it did not need to be replaced. The crash happened after 6 p.m.

It was not immediately clear why the driver struck the pole or if citations had been issued. The Decatur Police Department was investigating. Decatur Ambulance Service also responded to the scene.
