DOUGLASVILLE, GA : 1 killed in crash on I-20 West in Douglas County on Wednesday, 2nd October 2024

A fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer and at least one car had a portion of Interstate 20 closed for hours Wednesday morning in Douglas County.

It happened on I-20 West past Chapel Hill Road (exit 36) in Douglasville. The Georgia Department of Transportation says at least one person involved in the crash has died.

All westbound lanes were closed for some time, but GDOT is now reporting that the crash has cleared, and all lanes are back open to traffic. However, delays will continue for a bit longer due to the traffic backup.
