Police say a driver attempting to elude officers during a traffic stop ran a red light, striking a passing car.The incident unfolded around 12:20 p.m. when Portland
Police officers attempted to stop a driver at NE 99th Avenue and Glisan Street for traffic violations.The driver sped from the scene and ran a red light at 102nd
Avenue, crashing into a passing car, which then struck a third vehicle.The eluding driver and a passenger were hospitalized with serious, but non-life threatening
injuries. Streets in the area remain closed for police investigation.
