A West Virginia man was injured Thursday in a crash on Interstate 65.
Justin Ferguson, 22, of Huntington, W.Va. was driving a 2004 Lexus car in the center southbound lane near the 24-mile marker when he tried to merge into the left lane, according to a Kentucky State Police news release. Another vehicle was in the left lane at the time, and Ferguson steered right to avoid the collision. Ferguson’s car went into a clockwise spin, moving back into the center lane in front of a 2003 Peterbilt semi-truck operated by Gerardo Garcia, 56, of Chicago. The two vehicles collided near the center lane.
Ferguson was taken by ambulance to The Medical Center for treatment of injuries. All other involved parties were uninjured, according to the release.
