Las Vegas, NV : Man in wheelchair hit by truck, killed crossing street on Monday night, Oct 5, 2015

Police are investigating after a truck struck and killed a man in a wheelchair as he was crossing a Las Vegas street.

Las Vegas Metro police officials say the man was crossing Desert Inn Road near Maryland Parkway outside of a marked crosswalk Monday night when a Dodge Ram struck him.

The 65-year-old was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene.
