Olympia, WA : Motorcyclist falls from West Seattle Bridge in crash on Saturday, 10th September 2016

A motorcyclist was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition after he fell off the high-level West Seattle Bridge on Saturday night, firefighters reported.

His motorcycle crashed somewhere on the bridge, and he landed on the surface near East Marginal Way Southwest, where police say major-collision specialists are investigating. The incident was reported at 7:14 p.m.

Multiple bridge lanes, and the offramp from southbound Highway 99 to the high bridge, were closed temporarily to aid the investigation.

It was the second blocking crash Saturday on the bridge corridor, after a car slammed the divider median on the Fauntleroy Way Southwest curve near the Nucor steel mill shortly after 3:30 p.m.
