Jacksonville, FL : Motorcyclist died after slamming into a light pole off Blanding Boulevard in Jacksonville on Thursday night, April 23, 2015

A motorcyclist has died after crashing just before midnight.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the motorcycle was traveling north bound on Blanding Boulevard around 11:45 Thursday night. The motorcycle then went off the road and struck a light pole.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

JSO Traffic Homicide is investigating the accident.
