Terre Haute, IN : Terre Haute police seeking driver involved in hit-and-run accident on Monday, January 9th 2017
Terre Haute police are looking for a driver involved in a hit-and-run accident that sent a juvenile to the hospital earlier this evening.
The juvenile sustained non-life threatening injuries.
At about 5:35 p.m., police were dispatched to First Street and Wheeler Avenue in response to a hit and run crash.
Police learned that the driver, a black male in his mid-20s, was driving a light blue Ford Crown Victoria west on Wheeler Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle and hit a pedestrian.
The driver fled the scene, leaving the car and the juvenile behind. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Terre Haute Police Department at 812-238-1661.
