Darke County, OH : Two people injured in a 2-vehicle, head on crash in Darke County on Tuesday morning, December 2, 2014
Icy conditions caused a head-on crash that sent two people to the hospital this morning.
The crash happened around 7:45 a.m. in the 3600 block of Ohio 571, just outside Greenville.
One driver was flown to Miami Valley Hospital in critical condition and the other driver was taken to Wayne Hospital in stable condition, according to Chris Norris, deputy chief with the Greenville Twp. Fire Department.
Norris said their initial investigation indicates that the ice caused one driver to slide left of center.
He said they do not believe speed was a factor.
The road was expected to be closed for about two hours while crews investigated.
