The investigation continues after a pedestrian was struck by a car and killed in Orange County Tuesday night.

It happened just after 9 p.m. at the intersection of Sand Lake Road and Winegard Road.

The Florida Highway Patrol said a man, whose name has not been released, was not in a cross walk and attempted to cross Sand Lake Road when a car driven by Jorge Camargo Prado, 20, of Orlando, struck the man.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

FHP says charges are pending.
