West Pensacola, FL : Pensacola woman dies in two-vehicle wreck on Friday, 20th March, 2020

A 60-year-old Pensacola woman is dead after a two-vehicle wreck off Mobile Highway and Webb Lane on Friday.

Wanda Lou Celli was transported to Baptist Hospital after the crash and was later pronounced deceased, according to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol.

At about 11:45 a.m., Celli was stopped at a stop sign on Webb Lane facing west toward U.S. 90 as a Jeep Wrangler was heading north on U.S. 90 toward the same intersection.

According to FHP, Celli failed to yield to the Wrangler and accelerated into the intersection, crashing her Toyota Matrix into the other vehicle.

The driver of the Jeep Wrangler, an 82-year-old Pensacola man, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
