Milton, N.H : Driver injured after a two-car crash on Route 125 in Milton Wednesday morning, April 15, 2015
A man was airlifted to Maine Medical Center after a two-car crash in Milton Wednesday morning.
State police said a 2013 Subaru Outback and a 1992 Dodge Shadow collided on Route 125 at approximately 9:09 a.m.
Police said the driver of the Subaru was Jeffery Lord, 46, of Milton, and the driver of the Dodge was Brian Roberts, 25, of Milton.
Police said Lord was traveling northbound on Route 125 and Roberts was traveling southbound on Route 125 when Roberts’ vehicle went off the right side of the road onto the gravel shoulder, causing Roberts to lose control.
Police said that Roberts’ vehicle veered across Route 125 into the northbound lane and collided with Lord’s vehicle.
Lord’s vehicle came to a stop in the northbound lane. Roberts’ vehicle went over an embankment and overturned. It landed against a tree on the drivers’ side of the vehicle, just feet away from a house.
Milton firefighters had to use hydraulic extrication tools to remove Roberts from his vehicle. He was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital, then flown to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.
Route 125 was closed in both directions for approximately four hours while troopers investigated the collision.
The New Hampshire State Police were assisted at the scene by members of the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit, the Milton Fire Department, the Rochester Police Department and the Farmington Police Department.
