COCHISE COUNTY, AZ : 3 dead, 2 critical after fiery crash on I-10 near New Mexico on Saturday, 14th September 2024

Three people are dead, and two are in critical condition after a crash involving a tractor-trailer on I-10 near the New Mexico State line Saturday.

Just after 5 p.m., Arizona DPS responded to a two-vehicle crash on the westbound I-10 in San Simon, Arizona, about 40 miles east of Wilcox.

Three passengers in the vehicle were killed, and two others were critically injured. Troopers haven’t identified the victims.

The tractor-trailer caught on fire during the crash. The tractor-trailer driver’s condition is unknown.

The westbound lanes were shut down for the investigation and have since reopened.
