TEMPE, AZ : 1 dead, 2 critical after vehicle crashes into light pole in Tempe on Sunday, 30th June 2024

One person is dead, and two others are hospitalized after a crash in Tempe on Sunday afternoon.

The Tempe Police Department was called to the area of Priest Drive and Loop 202 for reports of a vehicle that crashed head-on with a light pole. Police say the car caught fire on impact.

According to police, three adults were in the vehicle. One person died at the scene, and two others were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

An investigation is underway to determine what led to the crash.
