Woman killed in Bunker Hill area crash

A Missouri woman with local ties was killed Thursday afternoon in a weather-related rollover crash just south of town.The victim was identified in a release Friday night by the Macoupin County Coroner's Office as Erin K. Jarman, 31, of Houston, Mo.Chief Deputy Coroner Anthony Kravanya was called to the accident scene on Rust Road east of Illinois Route 159. Jarman, who was ejected from the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:30 p.m.

Coroner Brad Targhetta said the woman was alone in the vehicle."She had just dropped her kids off at her sister's house and was on the way to her parents' residence," he said Saturday.

The Macoupin County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident. The office said ice-covered roads were a contributing factor to the death.

The coroner's office said the cause of death is head trauma. No autopsy has been scheduled.
Arrangements for Jarman are being handled by Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill.
