Jefferson County, AL : Two young men killed in head-on collision in Jefferson County Wednesday night on August 6, 2014

A head-on collision in Jefferson County Wednesday night claimed the lives of two people. The incident happened just before 11:00 p.m. in the 9700 block of Alabama Highway 79, north of Pinson. Investigators say a 2006 Dodge pickup truck traveling northbound crossed the center line and collided with another Dodge truck that was traveling south. A 23 year-old Blount County man was driving the 2006 truck and a 17 year-old teenager was behind the wheel of the other vehicle. Both drivers were pronounced dead on the scene.
