HAINES CITY, FL : An 84-year-old Haines City man died on Monday, August 7, 2017

An 84-year-old Haines City man died Monday when he lost control of his SUV just yards away from his own driveway.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies said it appears that Elton Congdon, of 317 Paradise Island Drive, experienced a medical episode as the collision occurred. Instead of slowing as he approached his home, he sped up, said PCSO spokeswoman Carrie Horstman.
