Police were involved in a car chase with "a known violent felon" on Tuesday afternoon when the suspect struck another vehicle.
The suspect drove eastbound through the intersection of East Bijou Street and North Academy Boulevard, made an abrupt left turn toward a driveway and struck a westbound car.
The crash occurred just before 4:30 p.m., police said. The intersection was briefly closed, and then East Bijou Street just east of North Academy Boulevard was barricaded for hours while officers investigated.
The suspect was fleeing in a stolen vehicle, Gazette news partner KKTV reported. One person suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash, KKTV reported.
No further information was available Tuesday night.
