Sweden ,NY : 90-year-old upstate NY woman crashes into store and injures worker on Wednesday morning ,July 1st 2015

A 90-year-old upstate New York woman trying to leave a handicapped parking spot for somebody more in need of it crashed her car through a shoe store window and injured an employee inside.

John Helfer of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office says Dorcas Michaels mistakenly pushed the gas pedal instead of the brake, drove through a plate glass window about 15 to 20 feet into the store, and pinned the employee against shelving.

Emergency personnel responded to the Wednesday morning crash in Sweden, New York. Helfer tells the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle (http://on.rocne.ws/1gbOVbH ) the 32-year-old employee, who was not identified, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester with a possible broken foot.
