WOODLAWN, VA : Woman airlifted after Woodlawn crash on Friday, March 3rd 2017
A Galax woman was involved in a single-vehicle accident last Friday after suffering an apparent medical problem.
State Trooper R.D. Horton said Terry Conner, 56, was traveling west on U.S. 58 at 2:55 p.m. on March 3 when she ran off the right side of the highway, sideswiped a guardrail, crossed the median and both eastbound traffic lanes and struck an embankment.
Conner, who was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, received medical treatment at the scene by members of the Pipers Gap Rescue Squad and Carroll County Fire Rescue. She was airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., for treatment.
Horton said no charges would be filed in the accident.
