SPRINGFIELD, MO : One person taken to the hospital after crash leads to car fire in Springfield on Sunday, 2nd June 2024

One person is in the hospital after a single-car crash that led to the car catching fire in Springfield evening.

According to the Springfield Police Department, the crash happened around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Kansas Expressway and Turner Street.

Police say the car hit the median and caught on fire.

Crews were able to rescue the driver and transport them to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver is in stable condition.
