Fort Ann,NY : Three hospitalized in head-on crash in Fort Ann on may, Monday 22th 2017
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a four-car accident on Route 4 that shut part of the heavily traveled road down for almost 90 minutes Monday afternoon.
The accident took place at 3:38 p.m., and a portion of the road was closed until 5:15 p.m.
According to a Sheriff’s Office press release, a vehicle driven by Edward R. Wilson, 73, of Putnam Station was traveling north on State Route 4 when it entered the opposing lane and struck a southbound vehicle head-on.
The second vehicle was driven by Dawn A. Cody, 47, of Whitehall. Wilson’s vehicle came to rest after the initial collision when it struck a guide rail and rock wall off the roadway. Wilson suffered chest, neck and arm injuries and his wife Adrienne R. Wilson, 72, a front seat passenger, had to be extricated from the vehicle. She suffered neck, arm and leg injuries. Both were transported to Glens Falls Hospital by Fort Ann EMS.
