SAGINAW, MI : Car crashes into pole knocking out power to dozens in Saginaw on Thursday, 27th June 2024

Some Consumer’s Energy customers are without power after a car crashed into a utility pole around midnight on Thursday, June 27.

People who live nearby told TV5 an SUV struck a utility pole on Davenport Avenue near Taft Street.

The car continued for a block, crossed three lanes and crashed into the yard of a home on Davenport near Avon, a neighbor told TV5.

Consumers Energy’s outage map shows about 20 customers without power. Crews are making repairs to the fallen utility pole Thursday morning.
