Las Vegas, NV : Pedestrian injured after collision in Sun Valley on Thursday, Sep 24, 2015

A pedestrian has been taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after a collision occurred in Sun Valley, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.

NHP tweeted that a car struck someone in the right shoulder of Sun Valley Boulevard south of 1st Avenue Thursday afternoon.

It was not immediately known if impairment was a factor, according to NHP.

The driver was cooperating, a member of NHP said, and no arrest was immediately made.
