EBRO, FL : Two women were killed and seven other people injured in a two-car wreck on Saturday, December, 30th 2017
Two women were killed and seven other people injured Saturday afternoon in a two-car wreck on State 79, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Flora Mae Douglas, 63, and Alma Jean Douglas, 51, both of Ebro, were killed in the crash, troopers reported, while Johnell Jenkins Andrews, 77, suffered serious injuries. The remaining six people had minor injuries.
Troopers said a 2007 Chevrolet Impala driven by Flora Douglas pulled into the path of a southbound 2003 Kia Sorrento driven by Herman Saravia of Carrollton, Georgia, on State 79 at the intersection with James Potter Road.
All nine people were wearing seat belts except Alma Douglas, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, FHP reported.
Troopers said their investigation is continuing.
